Masters of the Jesters Guild

Master Sorien the Great

The originator of the guild, he lived a long time, probably due to his high understanding and proficiency in magic. He was truly the pioneer in his thinking that Jesters did not need to be purely entertainers, but could do much to influence and help the world. All rules and guidelines of the Guild come directly from him. It is unknown what became of this amazing Jester. His greatest feat may have been that he was always able to convince people that he was "just" a Jester, while orchestrating many important events.

Bizbin

He was the first student of the Guild, and an extremely proficient Juggling Jester. He was able to learn a bit of magic from Sorien, but never approached his level of expertise. Bizbin practiced for a long time but only trained one student all the way to Master level before he eventually came across a plagued town in his travels and contracted the horrific disease. His extremely difficult masterpiece juggling pattern is known as "Bizbin's Box".

Hadas Muthu

Hadas was born a warrior in a Dwarven village. He was cast out of his village because of a crime committed by his brother, or he may never have met Sorien. Their meeting was entirely unplanned, but Sorien knew immediately that Hadas had what it would take to succeed. Hadas became an adequate permormer in a variety of fields, and served as an enforcer in the Guilds early days. Strangely, he was never able to learn any kind of magic from Sorien. Hadas is remembered and revered for his self sacrifice in saving Sorien's life.

Lise Johansen

Lise was Master Sorien's third and final project. He was broght up in a nomadic tribe and was well trained in survival as well as hunting. Not much else is known about the early life of Lise, but Sorien sought out Lise because of rumors he heard about a wanderer that possessed some kind of raw magic. Under the supervision of Sorien, Lise became a powerful sorcerer specializing in the arts of war style magic. It was rumored that his power was sucked into his scepter upon his death and that he was to be reunited with the Guild in this form one day when a worthy Jester was found.

Grace Galvani

Grace was a fast learner in magic and in the Jester arts. She wanted her nephew to join the Guild, but it never caught his interest and he ventured away and joined the Army of Rockwood. Her first student, Windell, was trained extensively in all forms of magic. Grace held the idea that a Jester should be rich in talent and magic. It was kind of ironic when late in her career, she took a Dwarven warrior for a student. Dhanin had the heart of a Jester and she could bring herself to refuse him. At least she was able to teach him the ways of healing. It was a good thing that Dhanin learned quickly and reached his Master level when he did, because Master Grace Galvani became ill and died at the ripe old age of 112 just three months after Dhanin's test. It is amazing that she was able to continue practicing and training others right up until her death. She is truly a legendary Jester.

Zloon

Zloon and Pendafi were both taken on as the students of Master Johansen at the same time. Throughout their training, they competed for standing and respect in the Guild. Zloon was the first to reach the level of Master (probably due to his superior skill in the magical arts), but Pendafi followed shortly behind. They remained friends throughout their careers until they both retired. The pair remains the oldest Guild members to still be alive and their knowlege is still called on often.

Pendafi

Pendafi was (and still is) sort of a Jester of all trades. In his prime, his Juggling and entertainment skills were sound, his combat skills complete, and he also had quite a working knowlege of the world of magic. He had two students reach the Master level. One was Psanson, Decalin's master, and the other was Master Marvcus the Mage. Pendafi is most famous for his masterpiece Juggling move known affectionately as "Pendafi's Poop".

Kirkon the Klumsy

Kirkon, born a dwarf, may have been the hardest worker the Guild has ever seen. As the final project of Master Johansen, he reached Master Jester status faster than any other Master. His name "klumsy" stems from his Juggling skills, which he was never able to quite get a strong hold of, and also his skills in magic. On more than one occasion he set fire to his training tent while trying to learn to control magic. What he lacked in Juggling and magic skill, he more than made up for in his prowess as a fighter and his ability to work a crowd with his riddles and jokes. Despite his expertise in the arts of war, he was violently struck down in the great battle outside of Butterfield with the Trolls of the Dragonspine before he was ever able to take on his own student.

Windell the Wizard

Rubenstein

Rubenstein, always the amazing performer, dissapeared shortly after the death of Master Psanson. He was the student of Master Zloon while Psanson was the student of Master Pendafi, so they knew each other well and became close friends. His trademark Juggling move, Rubnestein's Revenge, was first seen when he upstaged Master Marvcus the Mage at a performance as payback for when Marvcus had earlier embarrassed him. To this day, the Revenge is considered one of the most fascinating Juggling patterns.

Dhanin

Dhanin is a Dwarf and was trained by Grace Galvani. She tought him the ways of healing , which he learned rather quickly. The techniques of battle, especially with axes, he was taught as part of his upbringing. Dhanin never cared much for mining and had grown bored with life in his town. He wanted action, he wanted adventure, so when the travelling carnival came around and he met Grace, he decided to follow for a while and see what happened. He ended up falling in love with the field of entertainment and the travelling offered him the opportunity to wield his axe from time to time. You never know what you're going to meet up with on the road. Dhanin reached his Master level rather quickly and took on a student almost immediately. His student, Ferrian, was to become the youngest Master Jester in history.

Citrin and Calvin Golle

The brothers were trained by Master Windell. Always bickering and competing with each other, they essentially learned the same things. The two were drafted into the line of Master Grace Galvani and her belief in the importance of magic.

Decalin

Decalin was orphaned as a child when his parents were murdered by a clan of Trolls. Found near death by Master Psanson, he was brought up and lived his whole life travelling with the Jesters. It is all he knows and his ambition for the Guild is unsurpassed. His greatest hate is Trolls and when encountered, he enters an uncontrollable state of mind and will not stop attacking them with his personally constucted large axe until they are completely destroyed. He currently has 2 apprentices, Rhubian and Aeowyn.

Ferrian

Ferrian, student of Master Dhanin, became the youngest Master Jester of the Guild shortly after Decalin passed his test. Time will tell what accomplishments this Jester will complete, but you can be sure that his bag of tricks and healthy dose of beliefs will aid him on his way.
